The service and eligibility
FoQus is a browser-based, self-directed pause. No account or online sign-in is required. You may use Guest mode or choose a Local Profile stored in this browser. FoQus is intended for people aged 16 and over.
The Terms acknowledgement is kept in page memory for this visit and is requested again on a later visit. The app is provided free of charge and on an “as available” basis. Some optional features depend on your browser and device.
Using FoQus
The recommended setup is Interactive, three minutes, Steady 4·6, gentle statements on, soft rain with a gentle chime, and full screen. You can change or stop a session, skip optional questions and reflections, and leave at any time. The first-play guide explains what is on screen and can be skipped.
Optional sounds are generated in the browser; they are not recordings and FoQus does not use your microphone. If you choose a calendar reminder, FoQus creates a calendar file on your device for you to download or open.
Non-clinical use and breathing safety
FoQus is for recreational relaxation and focus support. It is not a medical device, therapy, diagnosis or treatment, and is not a substitute for professional medical or mental-health advice. Its lights, scores and summaries are not health measurements, and no particular result is promised.
Breathing guides are optional visual cues, not measurements or medical advice. Breathe at your own pace and stop at any time. If you feel dizzy or unwell, return to normal breathing. If you are pregnant or have a heart, lung or seizure condition, check with a clinician before following a breathing guide. Stop using FoQus if anything feels uncomfortable or distressing.
Information and storage
Guest activity stays in page memory. A Local Profile saves information in local storage in this browser; it is not encrypted and is not synced. For details about stored information, the optional check-in, reflections, deletion and your privacy rights, read the Privacy Statement summary.
