tryfoqus.eu sets no cookies and writes nothing to your browser’s storage. The FoQus app (app.tryfoqus.eu) sets no cookies either. The app writes to your browser’s local storage only when you create a Local Profile.
You see no cookie banner because nothing here stores or reads information on your device except what you ask for (a Local Profile) and your own switch to turn statistics off.
tryfoqus.eu
| What | Writes to your device? | Purpose |
|---|---|---|
| The tryfoqus.eu pages, the session video and the sound previews | No | — |
| The bot check on the alpha request form (Cloudflare Turnstile) | tryfoqus.eu writes nothing. The check runs inside a frame that Cloudflare loads only on the page with the form. Cloudflare describes what that frame does in its Turnstile privacy notice. | Stops bots from sending the form. It is part of the service you ask for when you send the form. |
The FoQus app
Guest mode writes nothing. Your choices stay in the open page and are gone when you close or refresh it. The app keeps your language in the page address (?lang=), not in storage.
A Local Profile keeps these entries in this browser’s local storage. They are strictly necessary: they are the Local Profile you asked for. They never leave your device.
| Entry | What it holds | When the app writes it | How it is removed |
|---|---|---|---|
foqus_user | Nickname, profile ID, profile mode, guest marker, and a marker that you accepted the Terms | When you create a Local Profile | “Reset FoQus data in this browser” |
foqus_last_config | Your last session choices | When you start a session | “Reset FoQus data in this browser” |
foqus_check_in | Your check-in answers and when you gave them (only the time, if you skip) | When you finish or skip the check-in, or save answers in Settings | “Reset FoQus data in this browser”; “Clear check-in answers” |
foqus_sessions | Session history, reflections and notes | When a session ends, and when you add a reflection | “Reset FoQus data in this browser” |
foqus_stats | Totals, streaks and badges | When a session ends | “Reset FoQus data in this browser” |
Both buttons are in the app’s Settings. “Leave profile” removes nothing. Clearing this site’s data in your browser removes every entry. The entries are not encrypted: anyone who uses this browser can see them.
Usage statistics in the app (Umami)
| What | Writes to your device? | Purpose |
|---|---|---|
| Umami, run on our own server (stats.sustematiq.com) | No. It writes no cookie, no local storage and no session storage. It only reads one local-storage entry, umami.disabled, to check whether you switched statistics off in this browser. | Counts page views in the app. The app’s Privacy Statement lists what it records and how to switch it off. |
umami.disabled is your switch: the app never sets it, and “Reset FoQus data in this browser” does not remove it.
If we ever add a cookie or a storage entry that is not strictly necessary, we will ask for your consent first, with a “Reject” button that is as easy to use as “Accept”, and we will set nothing before you choose.
